Melvyn Taub

Member, Advisory Board

Mel Taub was Corporate Technology Officer of Citigroup where he chaired the Citigroup Information Technology Leadership Council and addressed technology planning and cross-business technology initiatives. Before that, Mr. Taub was the CIO and Operations Director of the Citigroup Global Corporate and Investment Bank.

Prior to Citigroup, Mr. Taub was a Senior Executive Vice President, CIO and Operations Director at Salomon Smith Barney. Prior to Smith Barney, Mr. Taub held a variety of senior operations and technology management positions at Merrill Lynch, E.F. Hutton and Shearson Lehman Brothers.

Mr. Taub was a member of the Boards of Directors for the Depository Trust and Clearing Company, the Options Clearing Corporation where he served as Vice Chairman, the National Securities Clearing Corporation where he served as Chairman, the Securities Industry Automation Corporation, and the NASDAQ Stock Market. He was also a member of the NASDAQ Industry Advisory Committee.

Mr. Taub has served as Chairman of the After Hours Working Group on Clearance, Settlement and Operations Issues on behalf of the Securities and Exchange Commission, NYSE and NASD and has worked with the Markle Foundation Task Force on National Security in the Information Age.

Mr. Taub currently serves on the Hewlett Packard Board of Advisors and advises the F.B.I. and the National Counter-Terrorism Center on their technology strategies, structure and initiatives. Mr. Taub is also currently an Executive-in-Residence at the New York University Stern School of Business Center for Digital Economy.

Mr. Taub has a B.S. in Mathematics from Brooklyn College and a M.S. in Operations Research from New York University Engineering School.
