Robin Scott


Mr. Scott has over 25 years of practical experience in delivering technology to business to improve top and bottom line performance, customer service, business processes and IT practices for retailers and wholesalers. This experience includes IT department restructuring and turnaround resulting significant improvements in service delivery and quality while increasing IT credibility within the organization. He has assisted executive management ensure alignment of IT and corporate strategies through sensible processes that provide short and long term financial benefits. Mr. Scott has assisted multiple retailers successfully start new ventures and ground-breaking business applications in e-commerce, direct marketing and enterprises beyond the core business.

Mr. Scott has held senior executive positions in IT with Cato Corporation, Brookstone Company, Heilig-Meyers Furniture and Circuit City Stores. He also has significant experience in management consulting with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and several boutique retail consulting firms. Experience also includes IT management positions in manufacturing.

Mr. Scott is has written articles on POS futures and workforce management. Has been a member of the NRA CIO Council, the North Carolina Technology Association, the IBM Retail Systems User Group and the New England IT Executive Roundtable. He is a past President of the Richmond, VA chapter of the Association for Systems Management. Mr. Scott served on the Virginia Commonwealth University Information Systems Advisory Board and Information Systems Research Institute Executive Board.
